Anyone ever heard of Mirrormask? I hadn't. But then I saw a link through my current obsession with Dave McKean via his website, and clicky clicky, wound up buying it (along with the other Jim Henson movies, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal).

Just got to watching it. I SHOULD have been prepared. I KNEW it was Gaiman and McKean's handywork. But no.

All I can say is, thank God I didn't see this movie as a child. As is, I'm going to have nightmares.

Glorious, glorious nightmares.

Don't let them know you're afraid. D: D: D:

It was a lovely movie, in a rather dark sort of way.

The sphinxes were so cute! I wanted to take one home with me and keep it as a pet.

It gave me weird dreams, too. Not nightmares, but weird. Loved the artistic theme, tho. I like weird lookin' movies like that. Style wise, it was my fave second only to What Dreams May Come.

Mother gorgeous film that was. Definitely the kind I'd show my kid. I'm gonna warp that future sucker so bad... WITH LOVE.

I saw it, but I don't remember being impressed by it. But I may have been watching it at work, at 5 am. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

I <3 that movie. I bought it before even watching it because it looked so awesome, and I was right.

Interestingly, I was just saying the other day that I wanted to watch it again... :P
